This position oversees multiple managers and their teams at the assigned Logistic Field Operations location/s.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist General Manager to ensure day-to-day business operations run efficiently and effectively.

  • Work with the General Manager and other Company leaders to develop site specific goals and objectives, and ensure alignment and effective execution within the site.

  • Effectively execute new programs, initiatives, and strategies to optimize network operations through prioritization, work planning, resource allocation, and cross-functional collaboration.

  • Gather pertinent business, financial, service, and operations information, and prepare periodic reports and presentations to business leaders.

  • Monitor adherence to systems, policies, procedures, performance standards, and regulatory requirements, and take appropriate action to ensure compliance.

  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams for proper planning, scheduling and asset management.

  • Provide mentoring and accountability to direct reports and succession planning through coaching, leadership development and training, and performance management.

  • Assist in the selection of highly qualified candidates, orientation, and training of employees

  • Evaluate and identify key productivity indicators, trends and options, as well as implement process improvement initiatives and choose appropriate courses of action

  • Ensure efficient and economical performance in accordance with strategic plans, goals, objectives, and operating budgets.

  • Proactively communicate information to direct reports, providing clear understanding of expectations, performance measures, and goals.

WORKING CONDITIONS Ability to work outdoors regularly for extended periods of time in all weather conditions. Flexibility to work overtime, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. Ability to work in an office environment, with extensive use of computers, including the ability to sit for up to 4 or more hours. Ability to safely perform physical requirements of the position, including: frequently move in and out of vehicles; frequently stand, bend, twist, stoop, and squat; regularly walk 75’; regularly climb ladders and ramps of up to 10’; regularly work up to 10’ above ground; continually sit for 10 hours; regularly push, pull and lift 20 lbs., and periodically lift up to 60 lbs.

REQUIREMENTS 2 years of actual people leadership experience and 4 years of logistics or supply chain experience OR Bachelor's Degree in related fields. Demonstrable experience leading or developing people (in either formal or informal roles), including managing CDL drivers. Transportation experience, which may include driving a vehicle transporter or tractor trailer, or equivalent Military experience preferred.
