Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Systems Engineer III/IV to support the Sustainment Team within the SEI PNT program in Colorado Springs, CO. This position serves as a key liaison between the engineering team and the customer, working directly onsite to support ongoing operations, system enhancements, software-related efforts, and long-term sustainment activities.

The ideal candidate will possess strong systems engineering fundamentals with experience operating in software-centric environments. This individual will work closely with government stakeholders, software developers, and cross-functional engineering teams to ensure mission systems remain operational, requirements are captured and implemented effectively, and customer priorities are translated into engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities Serve as a primary systems engineering interface with the customer, supporting day-to-day program activities and sustainment efforts. Work directly with government stakeholders to gather, clarify, and refine operational and technical requirements. Support system sustainment activities, software updates, enhancements, and capability improvements. Collaborate with software development teams to ensure customer needs are translated into executable technical solutions. Analyze system performance, identify deficiencies, and recommend improvements. Participate in technical reviews, configuration management activities, and change implementation processes. Support requirements management, verification, validation, and traceability efforts throughout the system lifecycle. Coordinate with engineering, operations, integration, and test teams to resolve technical issues and maintain system readiness. Develop and maintain technical documentation, system artifacts, and engineering recommendations. Assist with troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and operational support activities as needed.

Skills and Requirements

Level 3: Bachelor's degree + 5 years of experience Level 4: Bachelor's degree + 9 years of experience Level 5: Bachelor's degree + 14 years of experience

Active Secret Security clearance, ideally TS/SCI Experience working directly with government customers or operational end users. Understanding of systems engineering processes across the full system lifecycle. Experience supporting software development, software integration, or software sustainment efforts. Customer engagement and stakeholder management Systems engineering lifecycle support Software integration and sustainment Requirements analysis and management Technical troubleshooting and root cause analysis Configuration and change management Cross-functional team collaboration System verification and validation Agile and DevSecOps environments Technical documentation and communication Active TS/SCI Clearance. Experience supporting DoD, Space Force, Missile Defense, Intelligence Community, or National Security programs. Experience working within Agile or DevSecOps environments. Familiarity with software development lifecycles and system integration activities. Experience supporting operational or sustainment-focused programs. Knowledge of requirements management tools and configuration management processes. INCOSE Systems Engineering certification or related professional credentials.
