RN Supervisor, Clinic Operations - Orthopedic Surgery - Torrey Pines

*This is a full time, benefited position generally working Monday-Friday from 8am-5pm.**Hours will vary as needed.**Located at Scripps Clinic Torrey Pines. This is an exempt and salaried position eligible for the Management Incentive Compensation Plan (MICP)*at the Supervisor level.

What you'll do:

• This is a working supervisor position meaning you are expected to step in for coverage needs.

• Manages daily staffing for assigned clinic operations.

• Ensures nursing practice reflects established standards of care and practice and a culture that promotes patient safety.

• Under the general direction of the Manager/Director, shares leadership responsibilities for the nursing staff, including managing daily staffing plans.

• Responsible for managing and maintaining schedules for optimal efficiency.

• Works in partnership with Management and Physicians to ensure quality and efficiency in the management of patient care.

• Management and development of clinical staff.

• Contributes to operations management of assigned business unit(s).

• Participates in budget planning and management.

• Takes proactive initiative in quality management.

• Other duties as assigned.

Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills:

• Associates degree plus two years applicable clinical experience.
• Requires excellent skills in communication, problem-solving, team development, planning and follow-through.
• Ability to exercise the authority and responsibility for assigned services based on the scope of the organization and complexity of patient care.
• Graduate of an accredited program.

Required Certification/Registration:

• Maintains current California RN license.
• Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS required in clinical setting.

Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification:

• BSN and/or certification in area of specialty preferred if applicable.
• Leadership experience.
• Clinic/outpatient experience.
• Orthopedic experience.
• Inpatient experience.
