Full job description
The University of Southern California (USC), founded in 1880, is the largest private employer in the City of Los Angeles. As an employee of USC, you will be a part of a world-class research university and a member of the "Trojan Family," which is comprised of the faculty, students and staff that make the university what it is.
The Keck School of Medicine of USC Department of Radiology (DOR) is seeking to hire an advanced practice provider (Adult or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) Clinical Instructor of Radiology to join its team.
The Department of Radiology provides imaging services at LAC+USC Medical Center, Keck Hospital of USC, USC Norris Cancer Center and Verdugo Hills Hospital. The Department of Radiology is a truly diverse environment. We provide safety net care at LAC+USC Medical Center, work with oncologic patients at the Norris Canter Center and providing imaging and intervention for routine and complex patients at our community hospitals and our tertiary/quarterary hospital, Keck Hospital of USC.
The Division of Vascular and Interventional Radiology is organized to provide comprehensive service in virtually every facet of minimally invasive procedures. Imaging modalities included are fluoroscopy, angiography, computed tomography, ultrasonography and MRI. Both vascular and non-vascular procedures are performed including arteriography, venography, angioplasty, stenting, thrombolysis, embolotherapy, intravascular foreign body retrieval, revascularization for peripheral vascular disease, vascular access device placement, saphenous vein ablation, TIPS, filter placement, urologic interventions, biliary interventions, gastrointestinal interventions, and percutaneous biopsy and drainage procedures, among others. In addition, the DOR offers oncology treatment options, including chemoembolization, chemoinfusion, radiofrequency ablation, cryoablation and Y-90 selective internal radiation treatment. The DOR has ongoing research into new technologies and the evaluation of the clinical outcomes of interventional oncology.
Under general supervision and in accordance with standardized procedures, the practitioner performs physical examinations and treats common episodic and chronic health care problems, counsels patients and families, monitors patient progress, assists with medical research projects. Works with other health care team members, consulting and referring as appropriate, but retains responsibility for ongoing clinical management of the patient.
The annual base salary range for this position is $78,000-$165,000. When extending an offer of employment, the University of Southern California considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, federal, state, and local laws, contractual stipulations, grant funding, as well as external market and organizational considerations.
Apply at the link and upload a CV, three references and your Letter of Interest (LOI). LOI should include a diversity, equity and inclusion statement describing your interest, participation and/or commitment to fostering inclusion and belonging in the workplace.
