School Aide

Teacher Assistant - Oshkosh, WI

Location: Oshkosh, WI (Elementary School Setting)

Start Date: September 1, 2026

Pay Rate: $20.00/hour

Position Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Teacher Assistant to support students and classroom instruction at an elementary school in Oshkosh, WI. In this role, you will work closely with teachers and school staff to help create a positive learning environment, support student success, and assist with daily classroom activities.

Responsibilities

• Support teachers in maintaining an organized and positive classroom environment.

• Assist students individually and in small groups with classroom activities and instruction.

• Reinforce lessons and concepts introduced by the teacher.

• Prepare classroom materials and assist with clerical tasks as needed.

• Support positive student behavior and classroom expectations.

• Supervise students during classroom activities, lunch, recess, and transitions.

• Build positive relationships with students, families, and staff.

• Maintain confidentiality of student information.

• Assist with instructional activities and classroom organization.

• Utilize educational technology and classroom resources as directed.

• Follow all district, building, and classroom policies and procedures.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Experience working with children in a school, childcare, or structured setting preferred.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

• Basic computer skills.

• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

• Ability to remain calm and professional in a busy school environment.

• CPR and First Aid certification preferred, or willingness to obtain.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in an educational setting.

• Experience supporting elementary-age students.

• Experience working with diverse student populations.

• Associate's degree or additional coursework in education is a plus.
