A Snapshot of Your Day

As Sales Team Lead – Heat Recovery & Efficiency for North America, you will lead a dedicated Tiger Team of approximately 5–6 sales professionals focused on one of the region's largest growth opportunities: transforming gas turbine installations into highly efficient combined-cycle and cogeneration solutions. Working closely with utilities, data center developers, independent power producers, industrial customers, EPCs, and Siemens Energy's Gas Turbine and Service organizations, you will identify, develop, and secure opportunities that maximize customer value through heat recovery, steam cycle integration, waste heat utilization, and overall plant efficiency improvements. You will combine strategic leadership, direct customer engagement, and hands-on opportunity development to establish Siemens Energy as the preferred partner for Heat Recovery & Efficiency solutions across North America.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Lead and mentor a specialized North American sales team focused on Heat Recovery & Efficiency opportunities across combined-cycle, cogeneration, waste heat recovery, and steam cycle integration projects.

  • Develop and execute commercial growth strategies and targeted sales campaigns for greenfield and brownfield gas turbine installations across the North American power generation market.

  • Identify opportunities to improve power output, fuel efficiency, reliability, and decarbonization through innovative heat recovery and efficiency solutions.

  • Partner with Siemens Energy Gas Services, Gas Turbines, Steam Turbines, Generators, and Digital organizations to develop integrated customer solutions and value propositions.

  • Build executive-level relationships with utilities, industrial customers, data center operators, developers, and EPC contractors while leading customer engagements, strategic negotiations, and the full sales cycle through contract closure.

  • Establish long-term account strategies and monitor market trends, energy demand, data center growth, and decarbonization initiatives to identify and capture new business opportunities.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Energy Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline. Minimum 8–10 years of experience in power generation, energy infrastructure, industrial equipment, or related sales environments.

  • Strong understanding of gas turbines, steam turbines, combined-cycle power plants, cogeneration, HRSGs, and heat recovery technologies. Demonstrated success in developing and winning complex capital equipment projects. Deep understanding of the North American utility, industrial, and energy markets.

  • Proven leadership experience managing and motivating high-performing sales teams.

  • Ability to build strong internal and external stakeholder networks across multiple business functions. Strategic mindset combined with strong commercial execution skills.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

  • Willingness to travel extensively across North America (approximately 30–50%).

Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.

A key focus is helping customers unlock additional value from existing and new gas turbine installations through cycle-closing solutions, combined-cycle applications, cogeneration, waste heat recovery, and steam cycle integration. Operating as a focused Tiger Team, the organization consists of approximately 5-6 highly specialized sales professionals dedicated to developing and winning new business opportunities. Working closely with Siemens Energy's Gas Turbine, Service, and Electrification organizations, the team serves as a growth engine for STG, accelerating market penetration and expanding Siemens Energy's leadership position in Heat Recovery & Efficiency solutions across North America. Mission: Build and lead a focused North American sales organization that systematically captures cycle-closing, combined-cycle, cogeneration, and waste heat recovery opportunities behind gas turbines, converting unprecedented market demand into profitable growth for Siemens Energy's Steam Turbines & Generators business.
