Job Description

The Global Mobility & Immigration Specialist manages employee immigration, international assignments, relocation programs, and global mobility initiatives across North America. This role serves as the primary point of contact for employees, managers, immigration counsel, relocation vendors, and internal stakeholders while ensuring compliance with immigration, employment, payroll, tax, and mobility requirements.

Day to Day Immigration & Compliance

  • Coordinate employment-based immigration cases (H-1B, L-1, TN, E-3, H-4, F-1/OPT/STEM, PERM, permanent residency)

  • Track visa expirations, renewals, extensions, and amendments

  • Maintain immigration records and ensure compliance with I-9, E-Verify, Public Access Files, and other regulatory requirements

  • Partner with external immigration counsel and support audits, litigation, surveys, and benchmarking requests Global Mobility & Relocation

  • Administer international assignments, expatriate programs, cross-border transfers, repatriations, and localizations

  • Coordinate domestic and international relocation programs, including relocation benefits, temporary housing, travel support, reimbursements, and vendor management

  • Support mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and relocation equity studies

  • Develop and recommend relocation and assignment solutions based on business needs Employee & Stakeholder Support

  • Advise employees and managers on visa sponsorship, work authorization, relocation benefits, travel requirements, and assignment transitions

  • Conduct employee relocation briefings and support issue resolution throughout the relocation lifecycle

  • Coordinate suppliers supporting household goods movement, home sale assistance, destination services, tax support, payroll coordination, and cultural/language training Reporting & Process Improvement

  • Analyze relocation and assignment data, market surveys, and program metrics

  • Create reports, dashboards, charts, and study results

  • Identify trends, compliance risks, and process improvement opportunities

  • Audit vendor performance and compliance with service agreements Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Partner with HR, Legal, Payroll, Finance, Tax, Talent Acquisition, project teams, global mobility teams, relocation vendors, and immigration counsel

  • Support assignment initiation, onboarding, compensation documentation, assignment changes, and repatriation processes

Skills and Requirements

  • 4-5+ years of experience in Global Mobility, Immigration, Relocation, International HR, or Expatriate Administration
  • Experience coordinating employment-based immigration programs (H-1B, L-1, TN, E-3, PERM, Green Card processes, etc.)
  • Experience working with external immigration counsel
  • Knowledge of I-9, E-Verify, Public Access Files, and U.S. immigration compliance
  • Experience supporting international assignments, expatriates, cross-border transfers, and relocation programs
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple time-sensitive cases
  • Strong stakeholder communication and vendor management experience
  • Experience with HRIS systems (Workday preferred) and case-tracking tools
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, International Business, Law, Public Administration, or related field preferred, or equivalent experience
  • Applicable educational/certification credentials from an accredited institution and/or equivalent experience required
  • Canadian immigration exposure
  • Global mobility or relocation vendor management experience
  • Experience with multinational workforce programs
