LOCATION:Taconic Hills Elementary School, Craryville, NY

PAY:$16.00 - $18.00 per hour

HOURS:Monday - Friday | Up to 29 hours per week

Morning Program: 7:30AM - 1:30PM

Afternoon Program: 1:30PM - 6:30PM

SCHEDULE:Flexible scheduling options available

As a Teacher Assistant, you'll work alongside our early childhood team to create a warm, nurturing, and engaging environment for children ages10 months through 3 years old. You'll support classroom activities, daily routines, learning experiences, and positive interactions that help young children learn, grow, and thrive.

A Schedule That Work for You

We offer both morning and afternoon shifts and can provide flexibility based on your availability and program needs.

Prefer a consistent schedule? You can work thesame shift on the days you're scheduled. Need more flexibility? We can also work with you toschedule morning shifts on some days and afternoon shifts on others.

Morning Program:7:30 AM–1:30 PM

Afternoon Program:1:30 PM–6:30 PM

The position is scheduled forup to 29 hours per week.

Position Responsibilities

• Collaborating with the School-Age Childcare Lead to facilitate hands-on activities aligned with theCreative Curriculum, tailored to the unique needs and interests of the children.

• Maintaining regular communication with parents and family members through thePlayground App, ensuring transparency and engagement in their child's daily experiences.

• Cultivating positive adult-child interactions utilizing theCLASS method, fostering an environment where every child feels valued and supported.

• Supporting the education, health, welfare, and safety of classroom members and the entire center community by adhering toECERS/ITERS standards and protocols.

Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or equivalent,ORat least 1 year of experience working with children under the age of 13.

• Required health clearance, including TB screening, in accordance with state regulations.

• Must demonstrate a positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and reliability.

• Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds while actively engaging with children throughout the day.
