Full job description

A research intern position is available in the department of Pediatrics. The appointment will focus on the analysis interpretation of biospecimen molecular data, which includes biomarker stains, flow cytometry panels, and next-generation sequencing (RNASeq, TCR/BCR) results. The intern is expected to develop a focused understanding of the etiology and molecular mechanisms of a specific disease type.

All duties and responsibilities are carried out in compliance with institutional policies, ethical research standards, and applicable federal and state regulations.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

The Intern will master literature research skills to develop thorough understanding of specific research topic.

The Intern will develop hypothesis-driven research skills to effectively plan and perform research activities.

The Intern will perform critical analysis of clinical datasets to uncover underlying molecular and immune response mechanisms.

The Intern will develop proficiency with Aivia software to perform histological analysis and quantify IHC stains.

The Intern will analyze patient meta data and correlate with molecular and NGS results.

The Intern will compile and summarize research findings for presentation and publication.

Masters degree in a science field/medical science
