Full job description

Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join a team delivering scalable enterprise applications in Fort Washington, Pennsylvania. This Long-term Contract opportunity is ideal for a hands-on technical leader who can guide development efforts, collaborate across business and technology groups, and drive high-quality software delivery. The role calls for strong expertise in modern Microsoft technologies, front-end frameworks, and cloud-based solutions, along with the ability to work independently on complex engineering initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, development, and enhancement of enterprise software applications while coordinating priorities and release plans with business and technical partners.

  • Translate business needs into practical technical approaches by working closely with stakeholders, vendors, analysts, and project teams.

  • Contribute to effort sizing and delivery planning to support realistic timelines and successful execution.

  • Build, maintain, and improve application code while producing clear technical documentation and following established version control and quality practices.

  • Perform unit testing, troubleshoot defects, optimize application performance, and support deployment readiness for production releases.

  • Provide assistance for critical production incidents within the assigned application area when elevated support is required.

  • Independently analyze complex system challenges and create effective architectural and programming solutions.

  • Facilitate Agile team ceremonies and help keep development activities aligned, organized, and progressing on schedule. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline required; an advanced degree is a plus.

  • At least 8 years of software development experience in complex application environments.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and adapt leadership style to varying project needs and experience levels.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Proven analytical and problem-solving ability, including handling sensitive or high-priority issues in a timely manner.

  • Hands-on experience with C#, .NET, and web application development concepts such as MVC and design patterns.

  • Working knowledge of Angular, React, SQL Server, Cosmos DB, and Azure services.

  • Familiarity with API or graph-based integrations is preferred, and mortgage industry experience is a plus. Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.®
