About the Position: This position is located within the Occupational Health Department of a Naval Medical Treatment Facility (MTF) This is a Direct Hire Solicitation A recruitment or relocation incentive MAY be authorized. Salary negotiation MAY be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Advance leave accrual MAY be authorized. This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD.

Duties

• Provide patient screening to obtain and review medical and occupational history.
• Review all pertinent data and determines requirements for ancillary testing and program placement.
• Performs various screenings such as vision, audiometry, vital signs, and review results for completeness and accuracy.
• Documents pertinent data in the medical record and on other documents, as appropriate for the examination being performed.
• Maintains medical records in accordance with applicable directives.
• Provides administrative support, which include; Patient scheduling, compilation of statistical reports, answering telephones, and other administrative related tasks.

Qualifications

Who May Apply: US Citizens In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-06 grade level in the Federal service which includes: 1) Conducting patient screenings such as vital signs and/or intake assessment; 2) performs vision and/or audiometry screenings, height/weight measurements; 3) updating patient medical records and providing administrative support. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).

Education
