Job Summary

The Operations Supervisor is responsible for leading day-to-day warehouse and distribution activities to ensure the safe, compliant, and efficient movement of customer products throughout the facility. This position oversees personnel, workflow execution, inventory control, quality compliance, and service performance across receiving, putaway, replenishment, picking, packing, shipping, and inventory management functions. The supervisor plays a critical leadership role in supporting temperature-controlled Plasma Operations, ensuring product integrity and regulatory compliance while driving a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership

Direct and supervise daily warehouse operations and assigned personnel.

Plan and prioritize work to meet productivity, quality, inventory, and customer service objectives.

Monitor workflow, staffing levels, and operational performance throughout the shift.

Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and regulatory requirements.

Coordinate cross-functional activities with Quality, Inventory Control, Transportation, Maintenance, and Customer Service teams.

Lead shift startup meetings, communication huddles, and end-of-shift reviews.

Plasma Operations

Oversee the receipt, storage, movement, and shipment of blood plasma and plasma-derived products.

Ensure compliance with all customer requirements, GMP, GDP, FDA, OSHA, and applicable regulatory standards.

Maintain chain of custody, product traceability, and temperature control requirements.

Investigate and respond appropriately to product variances, quality events, temperature excursions, and inventory discrepancies.

Ensure proper handling and documentation of temperature-sensitive biological products.

Partner with Quality personnel to maintain audit readiness and regulatory compliance.

Safety & Compliance

Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all company safety policies and procedures.

Conduct safety observations, investigations, and corrective actions as needed.

Ensure associates complete required certifications and annual training.

Enforce PPE requirements, bloodborne pathogen precautions, and hazardous material handling procedures.

Lead emergency response efforts for spills, incidents, and environmental or safety concerns.

Team Leadership & Development

Supervise, coach, and develop warehouse associates and team leads.

Conduct performance reviews, coaching discussions, and corrective action as required.

Support hiring, onboarding, training, and employee development efforts.

Foster a positive, accountable, and high-performance work environment.

Identify and develop future leaders within the organization.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree preferred; or equivalent experience.

3+ years of leadership experience in warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, logistics, or supply chain operations.

Experience leading teams in a regulated environment preferred.

Strong knowledge of inventory management, material handling, and warehouse operations.

Ability to analyze operational data and use metrics to drive performance.

Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS), RF technology, and Microsoft Office applications.

Schedule:

Current schedules consist of four 10-hour shifts:

Sunday - Wednesday, 7:00 AM start, or

Wednesday - Saturday, 7:00 AM start

Schedule and shift assignment are subject to change based on business needs.

Working Conditions:

Regular work in freezer and ultra-low temperature environments ranging from -20C to -30C.

Exposure to temperature-sensitive biologic products and materials requiring specialized handling procedures.

Ability to wear required cold-weather gear and personal protective equipment for extended periods while performing essential job functions.

This position serves as a frontline leader responsible for storage, movement, and distribution of temperature-sensitive blood plasma and biologic products. Leaders are responsible for maintaining product integrity and complying with all applicable safety, quality, and regulatory requirements while handling these materials.

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. Our Base Pay Range for this position

$54,500 - $90,900
