Schedule: PRN Shift: Day (United States of America) Address: 601 E Rollins St City: Orlando State: Florida Postal Code: 32803 Job Description:
Schedule: Per Diem
Assists patients with preparation for imaging exams, including changing into appropriate attire and verifying identification under supervision. Supports technologists during procedures by positioning patients, moving equipment, or preparing exam rooms as directed. Cleans and restocks imaging rooms between patients, ensuring cleanliness, infection control compliance, and readiness for next exam. Maintains adequate inventory of linens, supplies, and equipment, alerting appropriate staff when items are low. Answers phones, relays messages, and assists with communication between technologists, nursing, and other departments to support efficient workflow. Greets, escorts, and transports patients to and from imaging areas, ensuring safety, comfort, and timely movement throughout the department. Other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to work with people of various diversities
- Ability to work with patients of all ages
- Phone etiquette
- Work independently
- Ability to effectively communicate
- Excellent customer service
- Ability to communicate appropriately and effectively with patients and their family, hospital staff, nurses, physicians, and other health care professionals
- Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in the health care industry
- Ability to multitask
- Must be able to read, write and speak conversational English
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Ability to accurately discern patient and staff needs and efficiently move each encounter to a proper resolution
- Medical terminology class or training [Preferred]
- Knowledge of communication styles and constant deployment of proper engagement behaviors when encountering patients, staff, and physicians
- Effective time management and organizational skills
- Ability to display professional interactions with all levels of internal and external customers
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Effectively able to problem solve in complex situations
- Ability to adapt to new situations and responsibilities
- Must have the knowledge and skill necessary to provide care that addresses the physical, psychosocial, educational, safety, and age-appropriate needs of the patient population served within the department
Education:
- High School Grad or Equiv [Required]
Field of Study:
- N/A
Work Experience:
- 1+ experience in hospital setting in radiology [Preferred]
Licenses and Certifications:
- Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]

Pay Range:
$15.15 - $22.73 Background Screening Requirement (Florida Law)
Certain positions are subject to Florida Level 2 background screening, including fingerprinting, as required by state law.
