Job Summary

Reporting to the Treasury Operations Senior Director, the candidate is responsible for advancing and coordinating the department’s internal and external reporting, policies and procedures, controls, and regulatory compliance work. The successful candidate possesses exceptional attention to detail, strong experience in controls and compliance environments, and experience managing cross-functional initiatives and projects. In addition, the candidate displays a working knowledge of core treasury processes and risk management disciplines. The candidate will partner closely with Corporate Treasury personnel, Finance teams, Regulatory Reporting, Enterprise Risk Management, and second- and third-line-of-defense partners. The candidate should embrace a culture of continuous improvement and demonstrate a commitment to sharing insights and knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Internal and external reporting

  • Coordinate and assist with the development of content for Corporate Treasury’s internal and external reporting, including for recurring governance meetings (e.g., ALCO, Capital Committee, Risk Committee (Board of Directors)) and ad hoc regulatory, credit rating agency, and fixed income investor meetings, ensuring consistent messaging and quality. In doing so, partner with Key’s internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and consistency.

  • Work closely with other Corporate Treasury groups and leaders in their duties, particularly capital, liquidity, funding, and ALM, understanding their activities and strategies, and determining how best to communicate them to internal and external audiences.

  • Controls and compliance

  • Partner with Corporate Treasury Oversight (CTO, second line of defense), the Risk Review Group (third line of defense), Regulatory Relations and Project Management Office staff to coordinate, track, report on, and, where necessary, help resolve potential constraints within Corporate Treasury’s regulatory initiatives with the support of the Treasury Operations Senior Director.

  • Assist with Corporate Treasury’s control and compliance environment to prudently manage operational and financial risks and provide accurate and timely financial data and insights.

  • Assist with governance of Corporate Treasury’s operations-related policies, procedures, and other documents.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Treasury Operations Senior Director.

  • Comply with all KeyCorp and KeyBank policies and procedures, acting professionally at all times, conducting business ethically, avoiding conflicts of interest, and acting in the best interest of the company and its clients.

Education Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field of study or equivalent work experience required.

Experience Qualifications

  • 6+ years of relevant industry experience required, preferably most of it in related treasury functions and practices at regulatory financial institutions.

Required Skills

  • Displays financial acumen and an understanding of prudent financial risk management practices.

  • Possesses knowledge of existing banking industry best practices for reporting and governance, including all related regulatory requirements.

  • Establishes a reputation for strong subject matter expertise and technical knowledge that garners the confidence of internal and external stakeholders.

  • Demonstrates critical thinking, problem-solving, and conflict management skills and is comfortable operating in sometimes ambiguous and stressful situations.

  • Displays leadership qualities, leading and influencing others to achieve beneficial financial outcomes for the company.

  • Exhibits relationship-building skills and works productively and confidently with senior management.

  • Possesses strong written and verbal communication skills, crafting clear, concise, and persuasive communications for a variety of audiences.

  • Possesses strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $71,000.00 - $125,000.00 annually. Placement within the pay range may differ based upon various factors, including but not limited to skills, experience and geographic location. Compensation for this role also includes eligibility for incentive compensation which may include production, commission, and/or discretionary incentives.
