As Senior Manager, Data Registry, you will lead the standardization of registry practices across the health system to ensure highly reliable clinical data collection, validation and reporting. In this role, you will oversee the management and submission of reliable clinical data to national registries and databases for all Cleveland Clinic hospitals and qualifying facilities, ensuring accuracy, consistency and compliance with registry requirements. You will analyze registry data and reports to identify opportunities for improvement among health system hospitals and benchmark performance against national standards. Collaborating with specialty stakeholders and facility leaders, you will lead performance improvement initiatives, develop quality improvement plans and implement strategies to enhance care delivery and achieve the highest quality outcomes across the system. You will also lead Enterprise Trauma data standards and manage relationships between registry work products and programmatic leaders, including Trauma Medical Directors at both the facility and health system levels.

A caregiver in this role works remotely Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. or 9:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m., with 10% travel required throughout Ohio.

To be considered for this position, caregivers must reside in Northeast Ohio.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

  • Foster enterprise centralization, consistency and expertise, enhancing specialization and ensuring data accuracy through standardized processes, consistent training and robust quality assurance practices.

  • Lead stakeholder discussions and collaborate on the development of annual quality improvement goals for each content area.

  • Manage registry staff, including hiring, completion of performance reviews, salary administration, development and training.

  • Develop data entry and quality standards.

  • Oversee the identification of patients for inclusion in data registries.

  • Ensure registry protocols are followed and patient PHI is protected.

  • Meet designated caseload accrual requirements.

  • Supervise the submission and transmission of completed data.

  • Analyze data and reports to identify and implement improvements.

  • Collaborate with departments to implement performance improvement initiatives.

  • Establish and maintain workflows for data collection.

  • Provide reports and benchmarks.

  • Facilitate team meetings, leadership discussions and recognition activities that reinforce shared goals and organizational values.

  • Break down silos between facilities, departments and specialty areas.

  • Lead the integration of new team members, programs or services into the shared service model.

  • Establish and monitor team goals, service levels and performance standards.

  • Identify barriers to effectiveness and implement process improvements.

  • Ensure consistent application of policies, workflows and best practices across the health system.

  • Lead change management efforts associated with organizational initiatives.

  • Conduct regular one-on-one meetings with direct reports.

  • Support hiring, onboarding, employee development and retention strategies.

  • Promote cross-training and reduce dependency on individual contributors.

  • Facilitate collaboration across multiple facilities, specialties and operational areas.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

  • Bachelor's Degree in business, healthcare or related field

  • Seven years of progressive informatics related experience

  • Demonstrated knowledge within information technology or informatics

  • Knowledge of data abstraction, data analysis, and research principles

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, as well as written and verbal communication skills

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

  • Master's Degree in business, healthcare or related field

  • Prior leadership experience

  • Prior healthcare knowledge and clinical orientation preferred with special emphasis in cardiovascular specialty

  • Certified Specialist in Trauma Registry (CSTR), Certified Abbreviated Injury Scale Specialist (CAISS), AAAM AIS Course Certificate, or Trauma Registry course certificate

  • ICD-10 Course Certificate dated within the past five years

  • RHIT, RHIA, CPC, or equivalent credential

  • Trauma Data/Registry experience

  • Management experience

  • ESO registry experience

Physical Requirements:

  • A high degree of dexterity to produce materials on a computer.

  • Requires normal or corrected vision and hearing to normal range.

  • Frequent sitting and walking required.

  • Occasional lifting or carrying of 25 pounds.

Personal Protective Equipment:

  • Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.

Pay Range

Minimum Annual Salary: $84,200.00

Maximum Annual Salary: $128,412.50

The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires. A successful candidate's actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate's work history, experience, skill set and education. The pay range displayed does not include any applicable pay practices (e.g., shift differentials, overtime, etc.). The pay range does not include the value of Cleveland Clinic's benefits package (e.g., healthcare, dental and vision benefits, retirement savings account contributions, etc.).
