Position Summary
The Project Engineering Intern will work closely with Project Engineering, Manufacturing Operations, and cross-functional teams to support real-world engineering projects. This internship provides hands-on experience in product development, process improvement, and project management while offering valuable exposure to a professional engineering team in a manufacturing environment. Interns will contribute to meaningful projects while receiving mentorship from experienced engineering professionals. Project assignments will be determined based on business priorities at the time of employment. Travel between Frankfort, IL, Chippewa Falls, WI and Troy, MI may be required.

Develop technical documentation and engineering support experience
Key Responsibilities

Participate in engineering projects focused on product design, design for manufacturing (DFM), and business growth initiatives
-
Assist with research, data collection, analysis, and implementation activities
-
Support project planning, tracking, and execution efforts
-
Support engineering documentation activities, including validation testing, updating engineering drawings and work instructions, and maintaining engineering records and databases
-
Other duties and special projects as assigned
Qualifications
-
Completed Sophomore year in an accredited Engineering University or Technical program
-
Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
-
Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
-
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
-
Interest or exposure to some of these areas: FEA, automotive, plastics, APQP, DOE, DVPR
-
Ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain confidentiality.
-
Demonstrates positive and friendly attitude in working with all levels within the organization.
-
Demonstrate initiative and ability to work independently, yet able to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
-
Experience using CAD software such as SolidWorks, CREO, CATIA or NX is a plus
Compensation Information:
$25-27 per hour
