Job Description: The Role and Impact Join Intel as a System Software Engineering Undergraduate Intern, where you will contribute to the development and validation of system software across multiple layers of the software stack, including firmware, drivers, operating systems, and middleware. In this role, you'll work on hands-on projects that enable Intel platforms and technologies, with opportunities to optimize software across the stack and explore reference platform development for emerging domains and market segments. Your contributions will directly support Intel's business goals while helping you build valuable skills and experience for your future career.
Business group As part of Intel's Software and Advanced Technology Group, you will join a team focused on delivering innovative solutions that enhance Intel platforms and technologies. The group works to design and optimize system software, ensuring seamless functionality and performance across various domains. By collaborating on impactful projects, you will support Intel's mission of driving technological advancement and delivering value to global markets.
Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with senior team members to design, develop, and validate system software, including firmware, drivers, and operating systems.

Engage in cross-stack software optimization to support Intel platforms and technologies.

Contribute to reference platform development for specific domains and market segments.

Participate in hands-on projects that align with Intel's business goals, gaining practical experience and developing technical expertise.

Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications

Candidates must be currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a relevant engineering discipline.

Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, or Python.

Basic understanding of computer architecture and system-level software concepts.

Familiarity with the software development lifecycle and debugging tools.

Able to commit to a minimum internship period of 6 months.
