The Supply Chain Intern for Strategic Systems is responsible for creating a comprehensive, searchable Supplier Intelligence Database that will serve as a shared resource for Engineers, Materials Program Managers, Buyers, and Subcontract Administrators for years to come.

The position reports to the Supply Chain Manager and is part of the Supply Chain department based in Folsom, CA. This role is based remotely.

In this role, the essential functions are:

  • Support MRP interim tracking prior to NetSuite implementation — including material use, scrap, transfer, and on-hand status

  • Maintain open order reports with weekly updates to support buyer and SCA visibility

  • Track supplier purchase order acknowledgements to improve PO visibility

  • Assist with procurement transactions in the ERP system: purchase order placement, returns, and planning parameter adjustments

  • Organize and maintain Procurement & Contract File Library, including: – NDAs (executed status and expiration dates) – Reps & Certs, RFQs, quotes, and technical evaluations – Negotiated terms documentation

  • Master ship-to address log for Voyager entities, suppliers, and testing locations

  • Track commitments vs. actual deliveries to support supplier performance monitoring

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program — Industrial Engineering preferred; Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business, or related field also considered

  • Ability to maintain sensitive and confidential information as required by government standards

  • Ability to interact effectively with peers, supervisors, and external vendors

  • Ability to adhere to workplace rules and professional standards

  • Strong analytical and data organization skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel — pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and data analysis

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work in a team environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

  • Ability to generate compliant, organized documentation

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior internship, co-op, or coursework experience in supply chain, procurement, or operations

  • APICS CSCP or CPSM coursework in progress

  • Experience with Power BI or similar data visualization tools

  • Familiarity with ERP or MRP concepts

  • Understanding of supply chain operations, procurement, or materials management concepts

  • Understanding of how rapid prototyping transitions to production in a defense or aerospace environment

Travel, Physical, and/or Government Mandated Requirements:

  • Office and/or manufacturing environment

  • Ability to stand and sit for long periods of time

  • Ability to perform repetitive motion (keyboarding, phone use)

  • May be required to lift up to 50 pounds in accordance with applicable safety guidelines

  • 0–25% — May be required to travel between locations

The good faith base hourly range for this role is $28.00-$30.00 at the time of this posting. Where you fall within the range depends on your experience, skills, and location. This range reflects base salary only and does not include benefits or bonus/incentive. This range may be adjusted in the future.
