Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Commissioning Superintendent to support commissioning activities for a large-scale data center construction project in Claude, TX. This individual will serve as the onsite leader for startup, testing, commissioning, and turnover of critical electrical and mechanical systems, ensuring all equipment and infrastructure are installed, tested, and operating to owner and project specifications. The Commissioning Superintendent will coordinate closely with contractors, equipment vendors, commissioning engineers, construction leadership, and client stakeholders to drive commissioning schedules, manage system readiness, oversee functional and integrated systems testing, and ensure successful project handover. Ideal candidates will have experience with mission critical facilities such as data centers, industrial plants, semiconductor facilities, hospitals, or other highly complex environments where uptime and reliability are essential. This role is expected to support a 50-hour workweek and requires a strong field presence, exceptional coordination skills, and a deep understanding of critical power, cooling, controls, and life safety systems.

Skills and Requirements

-7+ years of commissioning, startup, construction, or mission critical experience -Experience with electrical and/or mechanical systems commissioning -Strong understanding of FAT, SAT, and Integrated Systems Testing (IST) -Experience leading subcontractors, vendors, and startup teams -Knowledge of mission critical facility operations and reliability requirements -Data center commissioning experience strongly preferred -Previous experience supporting hyperscale data center projects is highly desired
