Summary of Role:
GlobalFoundries is seeking a proactive and highly organized Office Manager to oversee day‑to‑day operations for our growing downtown Austin office. This is an onsite role and serves as the first point of contact for office‑related needs, ensuring a safe, compliant, well‑maintained and welcoming workplace.
The Office Manager partners closely with global support functions including Global Real Estate (GRE), IT, Environmental Health & Safety (EHS), Security and other enabling teams to coordinate services, resolve issues and support employees, leaders and visitors. This role requires strong operational ownership, excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders.
Essential Responsibilities:

Manage day-to-day site level operations including parking access, cube assignments, visitor entry, minor repairs, deliveries and supply stocking

Serve as the first point of contact for day‑to‑day office issues, providing triage, coordination and escalation to appropriate partners as needed.

Act as a local liaison to global support teams to ensure timely resolution of office needs and consistent execution of standards.

Manage office vendors, service providers, and purchase requisitions (PRs), including day-to-day coordination, performance monitoring, issue resolution, PR submission and tracking, renewals, and collaboration with Finance and Procurement.

Partner with the GF administrative team to support key customer, leadership and board member meetings, serving as the local Austin resource for on-site coordination, office and meeting room preparation, catering, guest reception and related logistics.

Work directly with site leaders and engagement teams to drive positive team engagement and culture through planning and execution of site-level events and meetings

Partner with GF Communications to support and execute site communications, including operational updates, planned maintenance notifications, safety communications and local announcements.

Oversee visitor registration and badging, ensuring accurate records, timely access and compliance with security requirements.

Enforce and support site safety, security and compliance policies, partnering with EHS and Security to support audits, drills and corrective actions.

Maintain site documentation, procedures and records to support compliance and operational continuity.

Support incident response and issue escalation related to facilities, safety or security events.

Handle sensitive employee, visitor and operational information with discretion and professionalism.
Other Responsibilities:
- Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.
Required Qualifications:
-
3–5 years of experience in site operations, office management, facilities coordination or similar operational roles.

Willingness and ability to work primarily onsite, five days a week (required).

Experience supporting office and/or corporate environments.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Effective written and verbal communication skills.
-
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with global teams.

Fluency in English, written and verbal.
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree in business, operations, facilities management or a related field.

Experience working with facilities vendors and service providers.
-
Familiarity with corporate EHS, security or compliance standards.

Experience using procurement, facilities or visitor management systems.

Expected Salary Range
$50,400.00 - $88,200.00
