By joining our Modal Programs Branch as an Engineer-In-Training I in Franklin County, you’ll have the opportunity to work with Forecasting and Modeling Team, gain experience in managing consultants, and assist district personnel across the State of Kentucky.
Summary of Responsibilities:

Conduct travel demand forecasts.
-
Gain expertise in working with travel Demand Models.
-
Review and oversee the work and payment of consultants.
-
Research and test forecasting and modeling tools.
Ideal candidate will have experience in:

Experience with the transportation planning process.

Written and verbal communication skills.

Working as part of a team.

Experience managing multiple tasks.

Certification as an Engineer-In-Training recognized by the Kentucky Board of Engineers and Land Surveyors. Must maintain any required licensure(s), certification(s), or other credentials for the length of employment in this job classification. Employing agency is responsible for ensuring employee possess and maintains required licensure(s), certification(s) or other credentials.
Working Conditions
Incumbents working in this job title will perform duties in an office setting as well as in a field setting.
Probationary Period
This job has an initial and promotional probationary period of 6 months, except as provided in KRS 18A.111.
