Role Overview
As a Qualcomm Software Engineering Intern, you’ll have the opportunity to push the boundaries of what exists and help establish the new standards for tomorrow. You will innovate as an equal contributor on teams of world-class engineers to develop, implement, and maintain software for the most complex wireless devices in the industry today. You will leverage your computer science or engineering degree to make an immediate impact on the software development life cycle of one of Qualcomm’s numerous software technologies.
This internship supports the Software Engineering track. Based on your resume you will be aligned to projects within this track.
Minimum Qualifications
Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in computer engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field
Must be available for 11–14 weeks during Summer 2027 (May–September)
Expected graduation date of November 2027 or later
1+ years of academic experience with programming languages such as C, C++, or Python
Preferred Qualifications
Candidates actively pursuing a degree with an anticipated graduation between November 2027 and June 2028
Extensive programming in C/C++
Object-oriented software design and development
Distributed systems and networking protocols
Multi-threaded programming
Multi-core and multi-processor systems
System performance optimization
Experience in complex software debugging
Knowledge of modeling concepts (e.g., discrete event simulation, polyglot programming)
Knowledge of networking concepts (e.g., bridging, routing), especially in Linux
