Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking a Strategic Communications Specialist in our Linthicum, MD office in support of our Department of Defense (DoD) customer as part of a highly talented, highly motivated, and high-performing team. This position offers a unique opportunity to work at the forefront of cyber investigations, digital forensics, cyber threat analysis, and mission support in a dynamic and collaborative environment. The successful candidate will contribute to protecting national security interests by leveraging technical expertise, analytical skills, and innovative problem-solving to address complex cyber challenges. Responsibilities:

  • Implements and facilitates strategic communications.

  • Supports and enables strategic, operational, and tactical communication efforts to enhance our customer’s internal and external messaging and outreach, including audience surveys, analysis and targeting.

  • Coordinates and implements marketing communication projects with responsibilities that include public relations, special events management, advertising, and creating brand awareness.

  • Develops and facilitates establishment of communications standards for various communications channels, such as periodicals, web services, publications, presentations, etc.

  • Supports and enables development and distribution of news and informational emails sent to internal and external recipients.

  • Produce and distribute communications, products, and services as outlined in applicable SLAs.

  • Assists the government customer in documenting strategic, operational, and tactical engagements and communications in SOPs for operational efficiency and continuity of operations requirements.

This position has on-site requirements M-F.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Associates degree and 10+ years of experience; OR Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of experience; OR Master’s Degree and 6+ years of experience; OR 3 years with PhD. However, four (4) years of additional relevant experience or specialized training may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree.

  • Experience in Intelligence or Cyberspace communications and/or Federal and/or DoD policies and procedures.

  • Excellent oral and written communications skills, organizational and interpersonal skills.

  • Active Secret Security Clearance.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience developing and disseminating key messages across major media platforms.

  • Experience designing and reinforcing strategic plans to impact and drive campaigns.

  • Experience creating multi-media communications content for key stakeholders and audiences.

  • Experience streamlining efficiency of communications to drive key initiatives.

Target Salary Range $104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
