SUPERVISORY DISTRIBUTION FACILITIES SPECIALIST (TITLE 32)

Summary THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a SUPERVISORY DISTRIBUTION FACILITIES SPECIALIST (TITLE 32), Position Description Number D0693000 and is part of the FL USPFO, National Guard. Responsibilities As a Supervisory Distribution Facilities Specialist, GS-2030-09, you will review, analyze and interpret supply directives and procedural instructions as necessary to render assistance support to the MTA and supported units; develop, establish and insure publication and distribution of MTA SOPs for procurement, storage, issue, and return of MTA property and equipment; act as technical advisor to the MTA Manager on logistical matters and problems; control and administer stock fund activities; responsible for the operation of a logistics support operations center; responsible fo the operation of general supply and warehousing activities; establish procedures for the inventory of subsistence and ammunition at the close of each annual training period; responsible for the orderly issue and turn-in of cantonment area buildings, facilities, and equipment; supervises directly or through subordinate supervisor, FTTD, permanent, temporary, and part-time personnel; and coordinates with Supply Officers and other authorized personnel from organizations utilizing the training site. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications AREA OF CONSIDERATION: This position is in the Excepted Federal Civil Service "under the authority of 32 U.S.C. 709" and is open to Category 1 & 3 Only. Category 1: All permanent/indefinite (T32 and T5) technicians employed by the agency WITH dual FL National Guard military membership; Category 3: All current military members of the Florida National Guard. PCS: Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs, MAY be authorized. Authorization for payment of PCS expenses will be granted ONLY after determination is made that payment is in the best interest of the Florida National Guard. Recruitment / Relocation: Incentive MAY be authorized. ONLY after determination is made that payment is in the best interest of the Florida National Guard. FLNG BUS Code 8888: This position is "excluded" and ineligible for labor organization representation. MILITARY GRADES: Enlisted: E5 thru E8 GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Must have experience, education, or training which has provided the applicant with a general knowledge of one or more aspects of the supply field. Experience using computer and automation systems. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: GS-09 must have at least 1-year specialized experience, education, or training equivalent to at least the next lower grade (GS-07) in planning layouts of storage. Experience compiling, analyzing and using data concerning storage space allocation, equipment uses, maintenance and personnel use. Experience conducting and completing projects and studies related to distribution and storage operations. Experience conducting surveys and providing technical assistance in determining the use of storage areas and the allocation of storage space. Experience in managing the function of the work to be performed. Experience which includes leading, directing and assigning work of personnel. TEMPORARY PROMOTION- For Title 32 selectees only: This is an obligated position (incumbent is on a military tour). If a permanent employee in Title 32 excepted civil service accepts this position, he/she will retain their permanent status AND return to their previous Title 32 position once the incumbent returns from military duty. If the military tour member, who has reemployment rights to this position, does not exercise his/her reemployment rights within 5 years, the selected individual may remain in this position without further competition. INDEFINITE APPOINTMENT-For Current Title 5 selectees only: This is an obligated position (incumbent is on a military tour). If an on-board individual employed in Title 5 excepted civil service accepts this position, he/she will be converted to Title 32 and will receive an indefinite appointment (Tenure 3). If a Reduction-In-Force occurs and/or the military tour member exercises reemployment rights to this position, the indefinite appointee will have no reemployment rights to any other position and may be separated. If the military tour member, having reemployment rights to this position, does not exercise his/her rights within 5 years, this position may be converted to a permanent status without further competition.
