Description of Duties

This is a position at the Monroe County Department of Human Services located at a specialized secure detention (SSD) facility for pre-trial and post-sentencing detention of youth who are alleged or sentenced “adolescent offenders.” The facility is part of the Monroe County Children’s Detention Center. Duties involve performing intensive case management activities for youth who are detained at the facility. Duties are performed within well-defined laws and guidelines and under stressful conditions and can include physically de-escalating volatile situations. The facility operates on a 24/7 basis.
