Full job description

Summary This position is located in Division of Risk Management Supervision, (RMS) and is responsible for in The Atlanta Regional Office, Dallas Regional Office or San Francisco Regional Office and provides operational support to RMS and the Division of Depositor and Consumer Protection (DCP) professional and executive staff. Additional selections may be made from this announcement to fill identical vacancies that arise later. Responsibilities Assists with the preparation and processing of various examination, application and enforcement related actions or documents. Creates, maintains, and updates automated records; transmits information to banks; problem solves submission errors; and produces standardized reports. Assists with the coordination of application review, processing, and notifications through research, preparation, and retrieval of related documentation within FDIC and from other state and federal agencies. Becomes familiar with program areas of RMS and DCP to serve as the applications backup. Prepares responses to requests for application related forms, instructions and information available pursuant to regulations and to the Freedom of Information Act within a timely manner. Processes incoming and outgoing correspondence for scanning, indexing, distributing, and mailing by using PII/SI forms and automated systems, while following policy requirements to safeguard the data. Serves as a quality control coordinator for the region's document imaging and distribution system. This duty includes uploading, indexing and maintaining the workflow of documents. Maintains internal office and management controls to ensure maximum efficiency of operations and conformance to pertinent regulations, policy letters, mail distribution, SOPs, etc. Performs timekeeping duties. Receives calls and visitors to the office, determines nature of business, registers guest with building and office security, and answers inquiries regarding information of a non-technical nature based upon own knowledge of the program and organization. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Qualifying experience is credited from private and public sectors, including paid and unpaid service (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps). Volunteer service builds competencies that translate to paid work. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience. See OPM's General Schedule Qualification Standards for details. CG-7: Applicants must complete one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS/CG-6 level or above in Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as: experience performing four (4) of the following tasks: drafting correspondence, distribution and accountability of mail, tracking activities and project completion, filing records, receiving callers to the office, and using software to prepare written materials. Applicants must have met the qualification requirements within 30 calendar days of the closing date. The pay range includes base pay plus locality. Locality rates vary by duty location from 23.79% to 51.75%. Pay varies by grade level and duty location.
