What You’ll Do (Your Impact):

Direct the CNA Program: Oversee and manage the Career Technical Training (CTT) Nursing Department. Provide clinical instruction and curricula that meet or exceed Mississippi Board of Nursing standards and federal clinical regulations (42 CFR 483.151).

Lead & Mentor Staff: Interview, evaluate, and train nursing department employees. Provide required and supplemental staff training, delegate responsibilities effectively, and foster a supportive, productive team environment.

Drive Student Outcomes: Ensure every student receives individualized case management, quality trade training, and Work-Based Learning (WBL) opportunities that lead to credential attainment and full-time job placement.

Build Healthcare Partnerships: Partner with the center’s Workforce Council, local employers, and clinical facilities to align training with real-world workforce demands and build career-launching pipelines for graduates.

Maintain Compliance & Integrity: Manage all written reports and student data tracking for the MS Board of Nursing and Department of Labor (DOL). Ensure absolute data integrity and student confidentiality.

Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate with center departments to maintain a safe, clean, and organized learning environment. May also serve as Health & Wellness Director (subject to state practice laws) to assist in overseeing medical, dental, and mental health services.
What You Bring:
-
Licensure: A current, valid Mississippi Registered Nurse (RN) License in good standing is required.
-
Clinical Experience: A minimum of two (2) years of direct nursing experience, with at least two (2) years provided in a long-term care facility.

Adult Education/Instructional Requirement (Must meet at least ONE of the following):
-
Successful completion of a 3-semester-credit course on adult teaching and learning concepts from an accredited post-secondary institution.

Completion of a 40-hour continuing education program in adult teaching/learning concepts awarded by an accredited organization.
-
One (1) year of full-time (or 1,500 hours) experience teaching adults as a faculty member or clinical educator.
-
One (1) year of full-time (or 1,500 hours) experience supervising nursing assistants (can be concurrent with the long-term care requirement).

Core Strengths: Strong leadership and delegation skills, meticulous attention to detail for regulatory compliance, and a passion for mentoring young adults.
