Job Description
Our client is seeking an experienced Fiber Optic Installer to support a large-scale hyperscale data center construction project in Burlington, Texas. This individual will be responsible for installing, routing, securing, and dressing both outside plant (OSP) and inside plant (ISP) fiber optic cabling throughout the campus. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with fiber infrastructure in data center, telecommunications, or large commercial construction environments and can work independently while maintaining quality and safety standards.
Skills and Requirements
2-3+ years of fiber optic installation experience Experience installing OSP and ISP fiber optic cabling Ability to pull, route, secure, label, and dress fiber cables Experience working on large commercial, industrial, telecommunications, or data center construction projects Ability to read and follow blueprints, cable schedules, and installation drawings Familiarity with cable pathways including conduit, innerduct, cable tray, and underground systems Understanding of fiber handling best practices to prevent damage and maintain bend radius requirements Reliable transportation and ability to work overtime as project demands require Strong commitment to safety and quality standards Fiber termination experience Fiber testing and troubleshooting experience utilizing OTDR, power meters, or related equipment Experience on hyperscale data center projects Manufacturer certifications or industry certifications related to fiber optics Experience with structured cabling installations OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
