Chautauqua Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is looking to add an HR Manager to its team. In this role, you’ll oversee recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, payroll, compliance, and talent development while supporting a positive and engaging workplace culture. RESPONSIBILITIES:

Oversee all aspects of human resources, including recruitment, retention, employee relations, benefits administration, payroll, and performance management

Lead recruitment efforts, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding new employees

Partner with hiring managers to develop staffing strategies, compensation recommendations, and hiring plans

Administer employee benefit programs, open enrollment, and benefit-related communications

Manage facility payroll processes and conduct audits to ensure compliance with wage and hour laws and collective bargaining agreements when applicable

Guide leaders through performance management, disciplinary actions, employee counseling, and terminations
-
Coordinate employee orientation, training, staff development, and engagement initiatives
-
Maintain confidential employee records and ensure accurate documentation within HR systems and personnel files
-
Assist with government reporting, compliance audits, payroll audits, and HR-related projects

Collaborate with facility leadership, Regional HR Directors, and the CHRO to support organizational goals and employee success
REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum education requirement: Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field; Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources preferred

Minimum experience requirement: 3 years of experience in a Human Resources role; 5-7 years of Human Resources experience preferred

Strong knowledge of employment law, employee relations, compensation, benefits, and organizational development

Experience with payroll administration, HRIS systems, and UKG preferred

Excellent leadership, coaching, interpersonal, and communication skills

Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
-
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally

Proficiency with Microsoft Office, HRIS systems, payroll systems, databases, and Excel

Valid NYS Driver's License, reliable transportation, and valid vehicle registration required

Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
