Experience Required

No previous window or door installation experience required. Construction, carpentry, remodeling, or experience using hand and power tools is helpful but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate from the ground up.

Training Required/Provided

No previous window installation training required. Full hands-on, on-the-job training will be provided in residential window and door installation, proper sealing and insulation, exterior trim work, jobsite procedures, safety, and customer service.

Job Description

Window Depot USA of Cincinnati is looking to add two full-time Window & Door Installation Apprentices to our growing installation team.

No previous window or door installation experience is required. We are looking for dependable, motivated individuals who want to learn a skilled trade and build a long-term career.

This is not intended to be a temporary general labor position. Our goal is to train apprentices from the ground up and give them the opportunity to progress into Installation Technician, Installer, and eventually Crew Lead positions as their skills and responsibilities develop.

Apprentices will work alongside experienced installers on residential window and door projects throughout Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky.

Responsibilities and training will include:

Assisting with removal and installation of residential windows and doors
Preparing window and door openings for installation
Learning proper setting, leveling, squaring, fastening, insulation, and sealing techniques
Learning exterior aluminum trim and capping
Interior and exterior finish work
Caulking and weatherproofing
Loading, unloading, and staging windows, doors, tools, and materials
Maintaining clean and organized jobsites
Protecting customers' homes and property during installation
Learning proper use of hand and power tools
Working professionally and respectfully around customers
Following company installation and safety standards

Able to lift and carry windows, doors, and construction materials
Comfortable working indoors and outdoors throughout the year
Detail-oriented and willing to take pride in quality workmanship
Professional and respectful inside customers' homes
Able to work effectively as part of a team
In possession of a valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Previous construction, carpentry, remodeling, or home improvement experience is helpful but is not required.

Compensation consists of guaranteed daily base pay plus production-based piece-rate compensation. Earning potential increases as skills, productivity, and responsibilities increase.
