Job Title: Facilities Technician
Location: Salt Lake City, UT
Type: Direct Hire
Compensation: $38,000.00 - $52,000.00
Work Model: Onsite
Overview
The Facilities Technician is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and ensuring the safe operation of building systems, equipment, and facilities. This role performs preventive maintenance, troubleshoots facility-related issues, and supports a clean, safe, and functional work environment for employees, customers, and visitors.
Responsibilities

Perform routine inspections of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, lighting, and safety equipment.

Conduct preventive maintenance and repairs on facility equipment and infrastructure.

Respond promptly to facility maintenance requests and service tickets.

Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and building-related issues.

Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance and repair services.

Monitor facility systems to ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards.

Maintain records of maintenance activities, inspections, repairs, and equipment inventories.

Assist with office moves, furniture assembly, workspace setups, and facility modifications.

Perform minor carpentry, painting, plumbing, and electrical work as needed.

Ensure facilities are clean, secure, and operational at all times.

Support emergency response activities, including equipment failures, power outages, and facility incidents.

Follow all safety procedures and participate in workplace safety programs.
Requirements
-
High school diploma or GED required.
-
Technical certification or vocational training in maintenance, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, or a related field preferred.

0-2 years of facility maintenance or building operations experience.

Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Strong attention to detail.

Time management and organizational skills.

Excellent customer service and communication abilities.

Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work independently.

Knowledge of workplace safety standards and regulations.

Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematic.
