The Role

HII is looking for a highly motivated and dynamic Financial, Planning and Analysis Analyst (FP&A) to work as part of the corporate FP&A team. This includes but is not limited to preparing financial presentations, capital expenditure analysis, industry/peer group comparisons, acquisition analysis, and ad-hoc requests. We are looking for a motivated individual with strong analytical skills, coupled with finance and accounting experience. This role reports to the Corporate FP&A Manager and works with divisional and corporate FP&A teams to develop materials that support the Corporate Finance leadership team and the CFO.

Responsibilities

  • Supports the preparation of the annual operating plan

  • Coordinates monthly forecast and reporting packages, including analysis of key performance indicators and risk and opportunities

  • Prepares presentations for the executive and senior leadership teams and the board of directors

  • Performs comparative analytics and monitors performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variance

  • Utilizes financial planning software to develop forecasts, analytics and reports

  • Support and collaborate with divisional and corporate teams to strengthen financial planning systems and processes

Must Have

Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of relevant exempt experience; Master’s Degree and 4 year of relevant professional experience

Nice to Have

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance

  • Experience with consolidating and modeling data

  • Experience working with and supporting executive level business partners

  • Strong analytical capabilities and technical skills

  • Proven problem solving skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills (verbal, written, presentation)
