What You'll Do
Your day will include a variety of responsibilities that keep manufacturing equipment operating safely and reliably, including:

-
Use appropriate hand tools, powered industrial equipment, and maintenance equipment safely and effectively.
-
Perform equipment repairs, adjustments, modifications, and preventative maintenance activities as assigned.
-
Follow established procedures for lockout/tagout (LO/TO), fall protection, confined space, hot work permits, PPE, compressed gases, Arc Flash, and other applicable safety requirements.
-
Apply basic shop mathematics and technical knowledge to diagnose and resolve equipment issues.
-
Complete maintenance documentation and work orders accurately and thoroughly, including documenting root cause and corrective actions when applicable.
-
Work collaboratively with machine operators, production supervisors, engineering, quality, and other support teams to resolve equipment reliability issues.
-
Participate in root-cause analysis and continuous improvement activities that improve equipment reliability, safety, quality, and productivity.
-
Use the Lean toolbox and other problem-solving methods to identify and eliminate sources of equipment downtime.
-
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while following all Swagelok safety and housekeeping standards.
-
Share technical knowledge and provide guidance to less-experienced maintenance associates when appropriate.
What Makes You Successful
We're looking for someone who enjoys hands-on troubleshooting, has strong mechanical aptitude, and takes ownership of keeping manufacturing equipment operating safely and reliably.
Successful candidates will have:
-
High school diploma or equivalent.
-
At least two years of applicable maintenance experience, or equivalent technical education, including experience troubleshooting and repairing manufacturing equipment.
-
Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to independently diagnose moderately complex equipment problems.

-
Ability to understand and follow technical procedures, safety requirements, and standard work.
-
Ability to use basic shop mathematics.
-
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Ability to work independently while knowing when to seek assistance from higher-level technicians or other technical resources.
Even Better If You Have

Experience with pneumatic, mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, or automated manufacturing equipment.
-
Experience performing preventative and predictive maintenance.
-
Experience with root-cause analysis and equipment reliability improvement.
