Registered Nurse Pre-Admission Surgical Screening

City/State Norfolk, VA Work Shift First (Days) Overview: Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Pre-Anesthesia Surgery Screening (PASS) team. This is a part-time position 3 days a week.

Hours: 0730-400 Monday-Friday No Nights, Weekends, or Holiday

This position's primary duties include assessing/admitting patients, rounding checks, giving medications, talking with family members, and being responsible for the overall care of your patients. Education

• Associates Degree or Diploma in Registered Nursing (required)
• Bachelor of Science Nursing- BSN or MSN (Preferred)

Certification/Licensure

• Virginia RN License Virginia or Compact/Multi-State Eligible.
• All Direct Care RN's required to have BLS within 90 days of hire.
• Critical Care/IMCU ACLS within 1 year of hire

Experience

• PASS experience preferred
• Alternatively, operating room or pre-op nursing experience
