Full job description

This is a part-time, hybrid position with the systemwide Scripps Cancer Center. This position will require the availability to work Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm.

Our Oncology Nutrition team provides medical nutrition therapy before, during, and after cancer treatment, working closely with a multidisciplinary team. Skills include clinical assessments, screening for nutritional risk, developing, implementing, and monitoring a nutrition care plan, education, and follow up. They provide service to patients of all ages from pediatrics to geriatrics. Compliance to JCAHO Standards, Title XXII, and other applicable regulatory requirements. Demonstrates ability to provide appropriate age specific patient care as established for environment and job title.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree or Masters Degree
  • Registered Dietitian through the Commission of Dietetic Registration

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Oncology experience
  • Outpatient experience
  • Specialty board certification, such as Certified Specialist in Oncology (CSO), Certified Nutrition Support Clinician (CNSC), etc.
