Internship - Tax $20.50 per hour | In Person reporting to Duluth, MN

What you'll do
-
Collaborate with a variety of ALLETE Tax staff members to complete projects relevant to the day-to-day operations of the organization

Potential projects may include, but are not limited to:
-
Preparation of income tax and sales tax returns
-
Preparation of monthly tax entries
-
Assist with regulatory reporting

Assist with audit support
-
Maintenance and documentation of new or existing financial controls
What you'll bring
-
Must currently be enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Accounting.

Students participating in an accelerated bachelor’s-to-master’s (4+1) program who are completing both undergraduate and graduate level coursework will be considered.

Have an expected graduation date between May 2028 and December 2029.

This position may be subject to assessment of skills, job match and/or aptitude.
How to stand out

Have strong computer skills, including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite Skills (i.e. Excel, Word, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint)

Have excellent oral and written communication skills

Have the ability to work with a variety of people in changing situations
Details & Duration of Internship

This internship will be reporting in person to Duluth, MN
-
This role is anticipated to begin May 2027 and continue to May 2028
-
The internship will be full time during summer and breaks and part time (up to 20 hours per week) during the academic year with the possibility of extending until graduation.
