Salary: $85,000 USD per year

✨ Join a group of passionate advocates on our mission to improve the lives of youth! Rite of Passage Team is hiring for a Senior Accountant at our main office in Minden, Nevada ✨

Minden, NV is a small town located in the western part of Nevada, In the Carson Valley, about 15 miles south of Carson City and roughly 45 south of Reno. It serves as the county seat of Douglas County. The area is known for its pc picturesque landscapes, characterized by the backdrop of the Sierra Nevada Mountains to the west and the Carson Range to the east. Minden itself is a charming, historic town with a population of just under 4,000 people.

Pay: Starting $85k - $100k per Year

What you will do: As the Senior Accountant works as a member of the Finance Team and is responsible for managing all accounting transactions of assigned cost centers according to GAAP, prepare budget forecasts, review, analyze and publish financial statements in time. Handle monthly, quarterly and annual closings.

To be considered you should: Possess a Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field and 5-7 years of accounting experience and knowledge; or 8 years prior accounting experience and knowledge may be substituted ~ Advanced Microsoft Office and Excel skills required. Knowledge of Great Plains Preferred- Be able to produce, review and analyze financial statements~ Be able to perform bank reconciliations ~ Can perform audit ~ Ability to reconcile general ledger accounts ~ Be able to pass a criminal background check, drug screen, physical, and TB test ~ Be able to pass a search of the child abuse central registry.

Schedule: Monday - Friday ~ 8am - 5pm
