Part time - 24 hours per week

Job Summary:Provides nursing assistance/clerical support to the nursing staff on the Medical Ambulatory unit as assigned. Duties assigned are relatedprimarily to specific nursing care functions, which do not require professional education or licensure, assisting in maintaining safe andefficient unit operations, providing support for patient care, maintain patient records, written and computer transcription as well asexcellent customer service and communication skills.EducationMinimum:High School Diploma or equivalentPreferred:Graduate of a Medical Secretary programRegistration/Certification/Licensure:Act 33/73 clearances and Healthcare Provider CPRExperienceMinimum:Six months experience as a Nurse Aide or Unit Secretary or other related healthcare experiencePreferred:N/AOther Requirements:Responsible to safely access, transport, and handle single dose medications to include prescription and non-prescription medications.Responsible to safely access, transport, and handle sharps, such as needles, suture kits, lancets, syringes, etc.Status:Non-Exempt
