Under general supervision of the Division Director of Residential Mental Health (Men),

Works with subordinate staff to ensure the provision of mental health services to the residential mental health inmate population assigned.

Ensures facilitation of and participates in treatment team and regularly scheduled staff meetings.

Provides oversight and monitoring of all crisis intervention activities and are provided in accordance with policies and procedures.

Ensures after hours coverage for crisis intervention and participates in on call rotation.

Provides and documents clinical supervision to subordinate QMHP's, Mental Health Officer's, and administrative staff.

Ensures clinical services are provided in accordance with SCDC policy.

Facilitates the interview and selection process on the job training of mental Health tasks.

Maintains accurate documentation in the electronic health record.
Must successfully complete four (4) weeks of SCDC Basic Training upon hire.

State of South Carolina Minimum Requirements: A master’s degree in guidance, counseling, the social sciences or a related field and professional experience in a mental health, human service or social service program.
SCDC Minimum Requirements:

A master's degree in clinical social work, counseling, or related degree and four (4) years of experience in counseling.

Must be licensed as an LPC-A, LPC, LMSW, LISW, or LMFT or higher
OR
-
Have comparable out of state licensure with eligibility for SCLLR license which must be obtained within 6 months.

Two (2) years of supervisory experience preferred.

Prefer LPC, LPC-S, LISW-CP, LISW-CP-S, LMFT, or LMFT-S license.
