Job Description

Drayage Logistics Coordinator, Full-time position w/ T.R.T. International Ltd. in Newark, NJ 07114.

Duties: (1) manage container drayage workflows across various delivery sites and port terminals; (2) organize daily container delivery and pickup schedules; (3) track detention and demurrage timelines to identify and report risks to leadership; (4) evaluating fundamental shipment data to identify trends that support operational enhancements; (5) liaise with drivers, carriers, warehouses, customers, and internal staff to facilitate punctual deliveries; (6) address standard logistics problems and refer complex matters to senior management; (7) update operational information and shipment documentation within the TMS; (8) compile reports on operational activities to aid in performance monitoring; (9) support the development and maintenance of standard operating procedures for workflow consistency; and (10) help onboard new personnel regarding daily procedures and operational workflows as required.

Requirements: High School Diploma/GED and 24 months experience in logistics coordination, transportation operations, or drayage and trucking. Must have basic proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience in TMS systems and shipment tracking. Must also have knowledge of freight documentation including BOL, POD, and gate passes.
