Appian Delivery Lead

Job Description

Serve as the face of the technology team for Appian-related initiatives Drive execution and delivery of Appian platform projects from planning through implementation Lead meetings with business stakeholders, Product Owners, SMEs, architects, and technology teams Represent the development and technology teams in discussions with business partners and leadership Translate business requirements into actionable workstreams and delivery plans Coordinate across technology, business, product, QA, and integration teams to ensure alignment Drive decision-making, remove obstacles, and keep projects moving toward successful completion Manage timelines, dependencies, risks, issues, and overall project health Partner with business stakeholders to understand workflows, process improvements, and operational objectives Oversee integration efforts and coordinate with technical teams responsible for implementation Provide status updates, governance reporting, and leadership communications Ensure successful delivery while maintaining quality, scope, budget, and timeline expectations Bring recommendations, ideas, and solutions to improve processes and delivery outcomes Act as a trusted liaison between business and technology teams throughout the project lifecycle

Skills and Requirements

5+ years of experience as a Delivery Lead, Technical Lead, Project Manager, Program Manager, or Appian Lead within enterprise environments Strong hands-on Appian experience with a deep understanding of Appian BPM capabilities, workflows, process automation, and platform implementations Previous Appian development background with progression into leadership, delivery, or managerial responsibilities Proven experience leading Appian-based initiatives and serving as the primary representative for technology teams Experience driving execution across technology projects and ensuring successful delivery outcomes Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to business stakeholders and leadership teams Experience leading meetings, facilitating discussions, driving decisions, and managing stakeholder expectations Strong understanding of business processes, workflow design, and process optimization Experience coordinating across Product Owners, SMEs, architects, developers, QA teams, and business stakeholders Experience managing project timelines, dependencies, risks, and deliverables Strong Agile, Scrum, and/or SDLC experience Ability to work independently, remove roadblocks, and proactively drive projects forward Strong communication, leadership, organizational, and stakeholder management skills Experience supporting system integrations and working with integration teams, even if not directly performing the development work Experience within banking or financial services environments Wealth Management technology experience Experience supporting digital transformation, workflow modernization, or BPM initiatives Familiarity with APIs, enterprise integrations, and microservices architecture Experience working with Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar project management tools PMP, Scrum Master, SAFe, or related certifications
