Position Summary: The Catalyst is responsible for supporting revenue cycle transformation efforts by identifying and implementing process improvements, automation opportunities, and operational efficiencies. Working under the direction of the Manager of Revenue Cycle Optimization & Innovation, this role helps facilitate workflow redesign and optimization across revenue cycle departments by serving as a key connector between operations, IT, and automation resources. The Catalyst promotes a culture of continuous improvement while enhancing Hartford HealthCare's overall financial performance. Position Responsibilities: Key Areas of Responsibility 1.* Partnering with revenue cycle teams to identify operational pain points and support improvement initiatives · Collaborate directly with front-line staff to understand current-state workflows and day-to-day challenges. · Foster embedded relationships with operational partners to ensure alignment with improvement efforts. 2. Conducting data analysis to inform and validate performance improvement efforts · Assist in interpreting key performance metrics such as denial rates and collections efficiency. · Translate data insights into actionable recommendations tailored to department-specific goals. 3. Supporting the development and documentation of current and future-state workflows · Participate in collaborative working sessions with teams to map workflows using clear visual tools. · Incorporate stakeholder feedback to ensure operational feasibility and staff adoption. 4. Participating in stakeholder meetings and knowledge-sharing activities · Actively contribute in team huddles, debriefs, and cross-departmental forums to promote transparency. · Capture and share feedback from operational partners to refine processes and increase user buy-in. 6. Maintaining compliance and supporting documentation for implemented improvements · Ensure workflows, process changes, and tool usage are clearly documented and up-to-date. · Support adherence to internal standards and applicable regulatory requirements. 7. *Developing and contributing to training materials and change management activities · Support the creation of job aids and tip sheets tailored to various user roles. · Provide hands-on assistance during go-lives and team onboarding to drive process adoption. Working Relationships: *Job Title of Individual(s) Reports To:*Manager, Revenue Cycle Optimization & Innovation *Internal:*Collaborates regularly with operational revenue cycle teams, IT, and performance improvement groups *External:*Interacts with vendors and solution providers to support technology implementation Requirements and Specifications: Education · Minimum:Some education in Healthcare field, Business, Information Systems, or related field; or equivalent work experience · Preferred:Associates’ degree in relevant Healthcare field preferred; advanced coursework or certifications in process improvement is a plus Experience: · Minimum: of 2 years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle operations or business process improvement · Preferred: o Experience with healthcare IT systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner) o Exposure to Lean, Six Sigma, or change management principles Licensure, Certification, Registration: · Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt or similar (preferred, not required) Language Skills: · Proficient in English; strong written and verbal communication skills required Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements: · Foundational knowledge of revenue cycle processes · Basic understanding of performance metrics (e.g., denials, collection rates) · Strong analytical, organizational, and collaboration skills · Interest in process improvement and automation (e.g., RPA) We take great care of careers.
