Job Description

Insight Global is looking for an on-site Desktop Support Technician in San Diego, CA. This person will provide technical assistance to end users by supporting desktops, laptops, peripherals, mobile devices, and software applications. The technician will troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues, support installation and maintenance activities, and serve as a Tier 1/Tier 2 point of contact for IT incidents.

This role will support end users both in a traditional office environment and within the client's semiconductor manufacturing facility. As part of the position, technicians will regularly enter and work in clean room environments, requiring adherence to clean room safety protocols, gowning procedures, and facility guidelines.

The role is responsible for supporting and maintaining in-house computer systems, desktops, and peripherals, including hardware and software installation, diagnosis, repair, maintenance, and upgrades. The individual will also provide end-user training, support manufacturing-related technology systems, and ensure optimal workplace performance across office and clean room operations.

Skills and Requirements

  • 4 years of relevant experience

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Experience with computer build-out and setup; imaging, application installs, and configuration, etc

  • Excellent customer service skills, with an advanced understanding of customer relationship building.

  • Excellent troubleshooting skills.

  • Self-motivated team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Able to effectively interface with customers, vendors, and Network Services.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Office 365 and Microsoft Windows 7 & Windows 10

  • Audio/Visual Experience
