  • Track donor activity, communication, and stewardship efforts accurately within the organization’s donor database.

  • Monitor progress toward annual fundraising goals and provide regular reports to organizational leadership.

  • Collaborate with the philanthropy and development leadership team on stewardship strategies for individual and private family foundation donors.

  • Coordinate and support fundraising-related volunteers as needed.

  • Stay current on nonprofit fundraising best practices and apply creative approaches to donor cultivation and stewardship.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of five years of professional fundraising experience, including experience at the director or comparable leadership level.

  • Demonstrated success developing and executing annual fundraising plans and meeting or exceeding revenue goals.

  • Proven ability to cultivate donor relationships, solicit contributions, and close individual gifts.

  • Experience managing a portfolio of mid-level or major donors.

  • Successful experience planning and executing fundraising events while meeting revenue and budget expectations.

  • Strong donor stewardship, retention, re-engagement, and relationship-development skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present effectively in one-on-one and group settings.

  • Proficiency with donor-management or CRM systems, Microsoft Office, social media, and web-based communication platforms.

  • Steady, collaborative leadership style with a strong bias toward action and accountability.

  • Genuine commitment to supporting the organization’s mission and the St. Louis community.
