Job Description

Insight Global is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support an automotive client in Maryville, TN as part of a growing Facilities Maintenance & Engineering team. This individual will provide technical and project leadership for the campus electrical distribution system, including system balancing, long-term replacement planning, scope development, drawing updates, and support of capital improvement projects. The engineer will own the electrical scope for facility projects, lead construction activities, and ensure compliance with safety standards. Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead and oversee electrical aspects of capital improvement and construction projects.
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, purchase orders, progress meetings, punch lists, and day-to-day execution.
  • Ensure safety compliance on active projects and proactively identify jobsite risks.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders and project teams throughout project lifecycles.
  • Review and develop drawings, specifications, and installation plans; verify field installations.
  • Perform electrical system maintenance activities, including coordination studies and arc flash analyses.
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues and support Facilities Maintenance during equipment failures and repairs.
  • Maintain electrical standards, specifications, and redline documentation for campus systems. This role serves as the primary electrical engineering resource for facility projects and infrastructure improvements across the campus.

Skills and Requirements

c 5 years of experience in electrical engineering, 3 min in industrial engineering  Bachelors degree in Electrical engineering  Experience working in modeling software; SKM (preferred) or ETAP, EasyPower or others  One of the following: FAP or NFPA70E, NES training/certifications  Experience with basic schedule creation and

  • ARC Flash - performing the studies (can go without this if all the other boxes are checked)
  • 5+ years’ experience in Electrical engineering position in an industrial/commercial setting
  • PE license in Electrical Engineering
  • Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Experience with high voltage distribution systems
  • Proficiency using SKM for distribution system analysis and studies
