Full job description

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Worker I Service, you will help maintain every corner of our hospital in a neat, orderly, sanitary, and safe condition so everyone can feel comfortable, confident, and secure in a pristine environment.

Every day you will perform a variety of essential environmental service duties, ensuring our facilities are always in top shape. You will be expected to clean and sanitize assigned areas (like lounges, restrooms, and offices), restock supplies, and expertly operate cleaning equipment such as vacuum cleaners, floor care machines, and steam sterilizers, all while adhering to safety and procedural guidelines.

To be successful in this role you must have at least 6 months of experience in housekeeping (preferably in a healthcare setting), the ability to work reliably on weekends and holidays, a strong commitment to detail and cleanliness, and an independent work ethic that contributes to our welcoming and safe hospital environment.

  • Completes assignment in a timely manner and in accordance with Department Policies and Procedures Understands and adheres to all Safety Policies and Procedures

  • Maintains assigned duties in a clean, sanitary and secure manner

  • Ensures all assigned areas including, but not limited to, lounges, rest rooms, exam rooms, offices, etc., have adequate disposable supplies

  • Adheres to all Medical Center and Departmental Policies and Procedures

  • Assures equipment is in operating order prior to use

  • Uses vacuum cleaner in accordance with manufacturer's operating instructions.

Job Requirements

Preferred

  • High School Graduate or GED

  • 6 months experience in housekeeping
