DESCRIPTION:

Join our Corporate Transportation team at Thermo Fisher Scientific and contribute to global scientific advancement. As a Transportation Analyst II, you'll focus on analytical excellence through data development, visualization, and process automation. Your work will directly contribute to optimizing our transportation network, improving cost efficiency, and supporting contract negotiations. You'll use advanced software applications to develop comprehensive reporting tools, analyze trends, and generate actionable insights that enhance our logistics operations. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate across divisions while supporting our mission of enabling customers to make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Advanced Degree, no prior experience required, or Bachelor's Degree plus 2 years of experience in logistics, distribution, or operations analytics

  • Preferred Fields of Study: logistics, business analytics, management information systems, or related business field

  • Strong proficiency in SQL Server, Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Automate

  • Advanced Excel skills for sophisticated data manipulation and analysis

  • Experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS)

  • Knowledge of logistics operations and transportation network optimization

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex data sets and transform findings into actionable insights

  • Strong project management skills with ability to manage initiatives

  • Excellent communication skills for interfacing with business partners across all organizational levels

  • Experience in pharmaceutical or cold chain logistics preferred

  • Ability to develop and present business cases for process improvements

  • Detail-oriented with strong prioritization capabilities

  • Experience with data warehousing and business intelligence tools

  • Commitment to following standard operating procedures and quality protocols

  • Flexibility to adjust schedule based on business needs
