COMMERCIAL CONSTRUCTION PROJECT MANAGER / COMMERCIAL PROJECT MANAGER - REMOTE FOR IOWA RESIDENTS! High Energy, driven & highly organized Project Manager w/ COMMERCIAL Property & COMMERCIAL Construction experience. NOT looking for residential construction experience!

LOCATION: HYBRID IN EASTERN IOWA -QUAD CITIES OR Cedar Rapids - with some periodic travel to QUAD CITIES IOWA!

MUST HAVE:

• Commercial Construction Manager to lead projects from preconstruction to closeout coordinating with 3rd party vendor partners, delivering projects on time, within budget, and to high quality standards.

• Partner with architects, engineers, & design professionals to define scope, analyze costs, identify value engineering opportunities, and evaluate budgets

• GC - General Contractor experience

• Perform constructability reviews and support planning for means and methods, site logistics, general requirements, and staffing.

• Oversee project accounting, including subcontracts, purchase orders, budgets, change orders, payment applications, profitability, and cash flow.

• Manage RFIs, submittals, meetings, safety coordination, job reports, inspection tracking, and lead-time monitoring.

• Develop and maintain project schedules and coordinate daily with field managers on milestones and scheduling needs.

• Ensure successful project closeout while meeting budget, schedule, quality, and client satisfaction goals

• Degree in Construction Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experience

• 4+ years of project management experience in commercial construction.

• GC General Contractor experience.

• Strong background in bidding, estimating, budgeting, scheduling, & project accounting.

• Thrive in a fast-moving, collaborative team

• Client-1st mindset

• Self-starter +urgency, leadership, problem-solving skills

YOU WILL NEED:

4+ years of COMMERCIAL NOT RESIDENTIAL Project Management experience.

PROGRAM / complex projects

Client-first mindset.with International & high end clients.

High energy & like to TALK to people

HIGHLY organized: Tool experience in pm tools: MS Project, Asana, Smartsheet,

Manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Strong grasp of budgeting, margin management, cost control

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent hands-on industry experience.

• At least 4 years of project management experience in commercial, retail, or other complex construction environments.

• Demonstrated success managing budgets, controlling costs, protecting margins, and supporting accurate project financial reporting.

• Working knowledge of bidding, estimating, scheduling, contract administration, and construction documentation processes.

• Experience using project management and scheduling platforms such as Microsoft Project, or Smartsheet.

• Strong organizational, communication, to build relationships across clients, vendors, and internal teams.

• Comfortable handling multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting while maintaining a client-focused and detail-oriented approach.
