This position is 100% onsite at our Bohemia, Long Island, New York Headquarters.

This position requires a U.S Person or a person who can qualify for a department of state or commercial license.

Position Summary:

The Senior Accountant will primarily work independently to complete the monthly financial close, account reconciliations and support reporting of results. In addition, the Senior Accountant provides support to management for review of capital expenditures requests and oversees the budget appropriations.

Key Position Accountabilities:

  • Month end close procedures, including calculating and posting of all required journal entries for expense accounts and accruals, proposals for reserves and payroll allocations.

  • Month end consolidation of all sites for financial reporting, intercompany and GL account analysis, additionally quarterly and year end requirements for corporate.

  • Monthly account reconciliations including quarterly SOX requirements.

  • Support both internal and external auditors to provide them with required information.

  • Evaluate customer contracts to determine proper revenue recognition under ASC 606 guidelines

  • Prepares budget vs. actual analyses and work with department head on variance explanations and forecast impact.

  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations and maintain the fixed asset subledger including additions, disposals, and depreciation schedules

  • Review of capital investment requests for compliance with the Company policy, GAAP and completeness of data in a timely manner.

  • Support finance function for forecast estimates, and annual plan process.

  • Adhoc projects for process improvements and other general needs for leadership.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Working knowledge of higher-level functions in Microsoft Office products, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.

  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and procedures.

  • Understanding of financial statements based on US GAAP.

  • Ability to independently research and analyze various types of data.

  • Effective oral and written communication skills.

  • Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work while meeting multiple deadlines.

  • Strong communicator -- able to translate financial results and process recommendations for non-finance stakeholders

  • Comfort using AI tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT) to automate accounting tasks such as reconciliation drafts, variance narratives, and report generation.

  • Qualifications:

  • Bachelor-s Degree in Accounting required.

  • 3-6 years relevant work experience preferred.

  • Public accounting experience preferred.

  • Any combination of education, training and experience listed above that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
