Full job description

Coordinator l, Property Accounting

Panera is actively seeking a Property Accountant to be responsible for preparing lease accounting related journal entries and account reconciliations, processing rental payments and year-end common area maintenance, real estate tax, and insurance reconciliations, and providing any needed support for other departments within the organization.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Process various leasing related invoices and reconciliations in a timely manner.
  • Process monthly rent for leased cafes.
  • Calculate and journalize real estate tax and common area maintenance accruals.
  • Complete monthly account reconciliations.
  • Assist in gathering documentation for internal and external audits of assets and related internal controls.
  • Perform lease accounting subledger procedures for period-end close.
  • Communication with bakery-cafes and district managers as well as support center accountants for proper recording of lease accounting expenditures.

Qualifications (Education & Experience)

  • Bachelor’s degree required - Accounting preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience in accounting is preferred.
  • Ability to process a high volume of invoices and reconciliations, and multi-task.
  • Ability to use critical thinking to make decisions.
  • Ability to communicate with many different levels of people in and outside the company.
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Strong computer skills, intermediate to advanced skills in Excel.
  • Ability to work well independently with expanding duties and responsibilities.
  • Skilled in customer service and problem resolution.

Physical Requirements

  • While performing this job, the incumbent is regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear & use hands and fingers to operate keyboards. Need to be comfortable and willing to move furniture and reconfigure meetings rooms as needed. Weight requirement minimum of 35 lbs.

Competitive pay $53,419 to $64,108 annually. The actual pay offered will be determined by multiple factors, including but not limited to the candidate’s relevant experience, job-related knowledge, skills, and geographical location. Individual compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
